Nostrum Uruguay is a 75-unit Altius Group apartment tower in downtown Montevideo (Centro), at Uruguay Avenue 1337 on the corner of Ejido. It is part of the Nostrum line.
The design is by Estudio Plan Proyecto Consultores. The 10-level building has studios and one- and two-bedroom apartments, plus parking and retail units. The common areas are built around the country's history: three murals, plaques telling episodes and ideas from Uruguayan identity, nods to sporting milestones and national figures, and a corner set aside for sharing mate among neighbors. Amenities are a gym, laundry room, grill area, multipurpose room and an outdoor recreation area, and there are parking spaces.
The corner gives direct access to main avenues and is close to the bus terminal, universities and medical centers. The project is registered as Promoted Housing with Uruguay's National Housing Agency (project no. 1906), a regime under Law 18,795 that provides for tax exemptions; the terms depend on each case and on current regulations.
