2020–2022
Pampas Residences
Punta del Este, Uruguay
A project Grupo Fonte was brought in to complete during 2020 and that was already listed as finished in 2022. It was the company’s first work in Uruguay.
Developer
Grupo Fonte began developing in Villa María, Córdoba, in 2006. Its early growth was built on residential buildings in secondary Argentine cities, followed by projects on a different scale, such as the WO retail promenade and its first neighborhood, Nóbeles.
It entered Uruguay in 2020 to complete Pampas Residences in Punta del Este. It then created Manglar: Brava was the first tower, Albor is under construction and Umbra continues the series.
INGAR currently tracks 1 project by this developer. The published project data total 191 apartments and 24,018 published m².

The journey begins in Villa María, expands through mid-sized cities in inland Argentina and reaches Punta del Este in 2020. Manglar was not Fonte’s first work in Uruguay, but it turned that entry into an ongoing tower series.
2006
Grupo Fonte dates the start of its activity to this city in Córdoba, which still houses its headquarters and much of its Argentine portfolio.
2010s
The model expanded from Villa María to other cities in Córdoba and Santa Fe. By 2022, trade media identified 32 buildings underway in 20 cities.
2020
The company received a proposal to complete Pampas Residences in Punta del Este. The assignment marked its first expansion outside Argentina.
2022–2023
Pampas was already listed as completed in 2022, and construction on Manglar Brava began in February 2023, this time as Grupo Fonte’s own development.
2024
Grupo Fonte opened WO on Villa Carlos Paz’s pedestrian street, a promenade with shops, dining, cinema and theater that broadened its activity beyond residential buildings.
2025
Norte Construcciones started the second Manglar tower in Punta del Este: 191 apartments and 24,018 m² designed by Estudio Chiacchio.
2025–2026
Manglar Brava began handing over units, Albor remained under construction and Grupo Fonte presented Umbra as the third project in the line.
Today
Grupo Fonte reports more than 54 buildings built, 2,600 apartments delivered and a presence in over 22 cities. It maintains offices in Villa María, Villa Carlos Paz and Punta del Este.
Pampas opened the Uruguayan stage and Manglar Brava turned it into a proprietary line. In Argentina, WO and Nóbeles moved the portfolio into other formats.

Uruguay
The company arrived in Uruguay in 2020, when it was commissioned to complete Pampas Residences in Punta del Este.
Pampas was the entry point. By 2022, the project was complete and Grupo Fonte was preparing a tower of its own near Playa Brava. That tower was Manglar Brava, whose construction began in February 2023 and is now listed as delivered.
Manglar Albor is the second building in the series. Norte Construcciones began work in 2025 and publishes 191 apartments, 24,018 m² and a 36-month schedule. Estudio Chiacchio is responsible for the architectural design.
In June 2026, the builder reported concrete, masonry and parking-structure work. As of August 25, 2026, Grupo Fonte reported 50% progress; the estimated delivery communicated by its Uruguay management is March 2028.
The next stage has already been set out: Manglar Umbra is the brand’s third development in Aidy Grill, again with Grupo Fonte as developer and Norte Construcciones as builder.
Manglar Albor is under construction 50 meters from Playa Brava. The project includes one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and continues the line begun by Manglar Brava.
