WMW – Weiss Mora Weiss

WMW – Weiss Mora Weiss is one of the groups with the longest history in Punta del Este real estate development. The Weiss family has been building residential towers and hotels on the peninsula and in Montevideo for more than four decades; today the group is led by architect Daniel Weiss and Carlos Mora.

Its work includes Venetian Luxury Residences, the 27-storey tower on Playa Mansa that opened in 2023, the Hyatt Centric Montevideo and the One and Ocean Drive Country towers on Avenida Roosevelt. Its founder, architect Ricardo Weiss, took part in more than 250 real estate and hotel ventures.

In Playa Brava, on Avenida Roosevelt, it is developing EVE Tower, a 26-storey tower.

INGAR currently markets EVE Tower, with 361 units in a single tower.

History and expansion

  1. Until 2010

    The Atijas-Weiss years

    Ricardo Weiss worked for forty years in partnership with Vito Atijas. Punta del Este buildings such as Imperiale and Ocean Drive date from that period.

  2. 2010

    Punta del Este as its base

    In July 2010 Atijas and Weiss split their activities: Atijas stayed in Montevideo and Weiss focused on Punta del Este, together with his son Daniel.

  3. 2010s

    Towers on Avenida Roosevelt

    The group built the One towers, at Roosevelt and San Remo, and Ocean Drive Country, opposite the Cantegril club.

  4. 2016

    Hyatt Centric Montevideo

    The hotel on the Pocitos waterfront opened on 1 June 2016 with 178 rooms.

  5. 2018

    Venetian Luxury Residences

    The 27-storey, 144-apartment tower on Rambla Williman, at stop 18 on Playa Mansa, was presented in January 2018.

  6. 2021–2023

    Handovers at Venetian

    The first units were handed over in December 2021 and the building opened on 6 January 2023. Norte Construcciones was the builder.

  7. 2026

    EVE Tower

    In January 2026 WMW presented EVE Tower, a 26-storey tower on Avenida Roosevelt in Playa Brava, with a showroom on the same avenue.

The Weiss family has worked in the Punta del Este property market for more than four decades.

Ricardo Weiss took part in more than 250 real estate and hotel ventures, including the Sheraton Montevideo and Punta del Este towers such as Coral Tower, Millenium Tower and Le Jardin.

In Montevideo, the group developed the Hyatt Centric on the Pocitos waterfront, which opened in 2016.

In Punta del Este, its recent buildings stand on Avenida Roosevelt —One, Ocean Drive Country and EVE Tower— and on the Playa Mansa waterfront, where Venetian is located.
